Gary Strickland retired after being the official scorekeeper for Wake Forest basketball for 42 years. He is a dedicated member of the Wake Forest family. To honor Gary, we are organizing a comedy roast at Forsyth Country Club on December 9, 2025. Coach Forbes, Coach Odom, Stan Cotten, basketball officials, and comedian Alonzo Bodden will be there to roast Gary that night.
All of the profits from this event will go to a 501-C3 charity called Santa's Helper. This organization enables 100 Wake Forest athletes to dress up as Santa and his elves and the athletes donate toys and books to disadvantaged children in the community at the Holidays.
Come enjoy a fun night with Gary and help support this worthwhile charity.
